1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how GearSuite uses cookies and similar storage (such as local storage) on gearsuite.eu. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.

You can accept optional cookies, reject them, or change your mind later through Cookie settings in the footer.

2. Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the site and application to work. They do not require consent under EU cookie rules because they are used to provide a service you requested, keep the service secure, or remember this choice.

  • Authentication cookies set by our account provider (Supabase), so you can stay signed in.
  • A guest-mode cookie (gearsuite_guest) so you can use the generators without an account.
  • Your cookie preference, stored in this browser so we do not ask on every page load.
  • Local storage for guest projects and workspace preferences in the browser that created them.

3. Analytics cookies (optional)

If you choose Accept all or enable Analytics, we load Google Analytics 4 to understand how the public site and generators are used (for example which pages are visited). This runs only after you opt in.

Typical cookies include _ga and _ga_…, set by Google. IP addresses are anonymised in our configuration. Google may process this data as described in Google’s own privacy documentation. You can refuse analytics and still use GearSuite in full.

4. How long cookies last

  • Sign-in cookies last for the session or the period configured by the authentication provider.
  • The guest-mode cookie lasts up to one year unless you clear it sooner.
  • Your cookie preference is kept in this browser until you change it or clear site data.
  • Google Analytics cookies typically last up to two years unless you delete them or withdraw consent.

5. Changing your choice

Use Cookie settings in the site footer, or the same control on this page’s footer, to accept or reject optional cookies. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings; clearing GearSuite site data may remove guest projects stored only in that browser.
